Hangman Digital
Hangman Digital is a full service design and animation studio with an emphasis in 3D post-production. Founder, Jason Strougo (BArch, BFA - Rhode Island School of Design) has been a director of animation producing special effects since 1992. From 1995-2000 Jason was an adjunct professor of animation at SVA in NYC for undergraduate and graduate programs. His students have gone on to work at Pixar, Sony Pictures Imageworks, BlueSky Studios, Dreamworks, Digital Domain and more. Jason has worked with award winning live action directors and collaborated with other studios to produce:
* VFX spots
* film effects
* broadcast design
* pre-visualization computer graphics for CG /live action as well as for purely live action shots
* video game content / ride films
* high end simulations
Throughout Jason Strougo's career, he has been responsible for all aspects of animated / VFX productions. As an animator & director, Jason has created hundreds of CG spots, hands-on. His talents range from live action / CG integration, to full up character animation, as well as visual effects supervision for CG related live action. As a department lead he has been responsible for building and managing teams of 50+ artists. Jason has been a key member of productions worldwide, combining his unique, wide range of skill sets.
Over the past decade, Jason has also established himself as one of the industry's leading tabletop directors. Modern tabletop production has evolved to include or completely live within the world of computer graphics. But Jason recognizes the need to not only adapt CG to table top, but to also honor the rich history of tabletop DP's, and their dedication to the craft. He has developed several proprietary lighting techniques that allow that history to carry over into his computer graphics production.
